Color-soaked Greenville Country Club Wedding |Erin + Matt

Aesthetic: Drenched in color

Erin was such a fun bride to plan with, and when she came to us to start designing her florals, we knew that her wedding venue had so much potential.

If you haven’t already, go check out how much I love Greenville Country Club in our 2022 Year in Review Post. I want that hidden gem to get the love that it deserves! Stately, distinguished architecture, tons of living greenery, it was a great backdrop to build onto.

The number one reason it was so fun to plan? The bride wanted C O L O R everywhere! Now, that’s not to say we here at TWIG don’t adore an elegant neutral tone, or obsess when we get to put white roses in every nook and cranny, it’s just a different (and fun) type of challenge to have ALL of the options and to narrow down the perfect texture and tones to create memorable pieces.

And the bride and groom trusted us to bring some huge visions to life in this space.

In addition to the planned multitude of bouquets, boutonnieres, and table arrangements, we got a call from Erin later in the planning stages to see if we could take on the massive project of a nearly wall to wall bandstand for their musical entertainment. Long story short, the bride saw this beast of a stage and dialed us right away to see if we could disguise the boxy structure in flowers.

Challenge accepted!

We loved that she was game to go all out, and was also on board with our commitment to local flowers to do the whole job.

Equally as fantastic was that Erin and Matt also hired Forget Me Knot to collect our florals at the end of the night. Forget Me Knot is a non-profit company that collects wedding flowers and repurposes them into small bouquets to deliver to nursing home, hospitals, and other worthy locations. That was just remarkable, and we loved seeing it.

All said and done, we loaded over 1,400 local flower stems into a delivery truck with 5 TWIG team members (and a baby!), to create something stunning for the couple’s big day.

It was the best Fall weather you could ask for, and the first thing we did when we arrived to Greenville Country Club was to deliver the personal pieces to the bridal suite.

Erin’s mom was teary-eyed and said “I can’t believe it’s here - it’s your actual wedding bouquet!”.  It really touched our hearts, especially considering how much love for flowers Erin had, coupled with the fact that she trusted us to bring her grand vision to life.

We loved every moment of this elegant and color-soaked wedding and we were so thrilled for the opportunity to be a part of their special day!
