Bright Autumn Wedding | Jessica + Ryan

Aesthetic: Cool Fall Tones

This wedding with Jessica and Ryan, which was stunning by the way, actually began with a little bit of panic for the bride and groom over their wedding flowers.

Jessica came to us after a major miscommunication with her first florist, and she was concerned she was out of time to find the wedding flowers she was imagining due to all the time she’d lost in the mix-up. To put her mind at ease I made sure to get her proposal created and sent to her within 24 hrs so that she could get that weight off her shoulders.

Wedding planning can be stressful enough with long lead times and limited date availability, and we didn’t want her to stress any more about her flowers!

With a lighter heart, we set about planning her vision for a Fall wedding with a little bit of a different take!

With the stunning Manor House at Prophecy Creek as their wedding venue, Jessica and Ryan decided they wanted to incorporate the traditional orange of Autumn in their flowers, but instead of the typical “warm” hues associated with the Fall, Jessica wanted to see cooler tones of pink, orange, yellow, blue, and green. While we discussed it, I could already envision the soft palette and tone we’d create, and we were so excited to start designing their arrangements.

The day of their wedding had absolutely perfect Autumn weather - sunny, low 60s, it was what everyone hopes for when they book Fall weekends for their nuptials. This is actually a huge bonus for your wedding floral arrangements as cooler temperatures mean fresher looking flowers with minimal wilting!

In a stroke of luck, while we were prepping their bigger arrangements, TWIG team members had a special chance to interact with Jessica and Ryan and their wedding party during photos, and they were having SO much fun.

We don’t often see the bride and groom because we’re busy setting up around the venue, so it was especially nice to get to spend some time with them. It was also very clear that all of their friends and family loved their relationship, and the whole atmosphere was so joyful.

Designers Amy and Cassidy created a gorgeous arch that was such a stunning addition to the outdoor ceremony space, and then stayed through the ceremony so that they could transfer it inside and up the stairs to the couple’s sweetheart table at the reception.

If you’re a bride or groom, here’s a veteran wedding industry vendor’s hot take: oval shape tables are fantastic and completely underrated for a wedding reception! That shape is great for conversation, photos, and also tablescapes!

It was a gorgeous day with a gorgeous wedding flowers and an even more stunning couple who were so clearly in love. We were thrilled to be a part of Jessica and Ryan’s wedding day, and we can’t wait to go back to the Manor House at Prophecy Creek!
