This Fall wedding turned out to be one of the most stunning of the season, and it came with a fun twist of events.

With just over a month to go to their big day, I we received a surprise request from the couple to completely change their floral color palette! Maya and Asiqur had been toying with the idea of switching their floral colors up, but when the bride saw one of our Summer wedding go up on social media, that sealed the deal.

It was such an honor that they loved something they saw so much that they were willing to throw out all of their plans and trust us to redesign when we were almost at the finish line.

We switched from White, greenery, Magnolia leaves, a limited amount of Fall colors, to bright green/chartreuse combined with a deep pink, cherry, and dark purple. It was like flipping the script and it was so fun to design with this new spunky color palette.

Her color inspiration board had pictures of cherries, pears, and figs, and I’ve said before in our post for Caroline and Jason and their Aperol Spritz and pistachio colored wedding, I love a color comparison that involves food. It’s so specific and so easy to visualize when you use food as your imagery. Our imaginations ran wild with the options.

Maya’s bouquet was such an inspired and unusual focal piece for her bridal portraits, but she was initially unsure about incorporating traditional Dahlias into the piece. Knowing what was available out at the local farms at the time, we promised to incorporate funky and spiky ones in place of the round shape and she ended up loving them! I’m telling you, dahlias can do it all.

The other half of Maya and Asiqur’s wedding magic was their exceptional choice of venue. A West Chester staple, Faunbrook Bed and Breakfast is an absolute hidden gem for an intimate wedding.

In general, Bed and Breakfasts tend to be a secret type of venue that couples sometimes forget to consider when looking for something unique, and Faunbrook was no exception. The amount of rich textures, antique pieces, and ‘lush garden’ landscaping became a whole other character in the couple’s wedding day.

These photos are bursting with elegance and drama and we love to see it. Especially the ones with Maya and Asiqur’s dog!

We loved getting the chance to be a part of this special wedding, and are looking forward to returning to Faunbrook for another lovely day.
