I have a confession. This wedding I may be a little partial to because this wedding was all about family.

You know my mother, Mindy, and I are the duo behind TWIG Gardens, and it just so happens that this groom is my brother, Max!

I probably would have given him a real hard time if he went elsewhere for wedding flowers, but I think we nailed their vision of “the end of Summer meets the beginning of Fall” for their colors and textures. We wanted to bridge the gap between Summer and Fall, but still celebrate the beachiness of the location.

Well, what was meant to be a beach wedding actually morphed into a ‘by the bay’ wedding, where our gorgeous AirBnB was, I really think it turned out beautifully getting married almost right on the water.

The intimate ceremony, which was just our two little families, gave way to a gorgeous dockside dinner on our borrowed deck. Our little celebration had tons of atmosphere and texture thanks to the combination of fresh and dried florals, sounds of the ocean, and the happy din of guests eating and drinking together.

If you’re considering an oceanfront wedding, I couldn’t recommend it more, and I might just have some ideas on what flowers can work for you!
