Lush Garden Party Wedding

Aesthetic: Full, Lush, Garden-esque

These summer nuptials had all the hallmarks of a fairytale wedding: sweeping estate, a soft palette of White, Sage, Blush, and pops of Peach, and a bridal vision of lush and full foliage and flowers in every nook and cranny!

The only challenge? 3 short months to get it all together to execute the flowers of Ariel and Chris’ dreams. 3 months might seem like a lot of time, but when we have weddings on the books sometimes 2 years in advance, that can seem like the blink of an eye!

As luck would have it, however, we were already familiar with the Aldie Mansion. We had no problem envisioning just how we’d fill the spaces with Ariel’s gorgeous natural color picks.

With a bride that appreciated our take on sustainability and sourcing florals locally, we were able to build a design plan that complemented the venue and the vision and got right down to business.

Also, lucky for us, this August wedding was in the middle of Lisianthus season!  Lisianthus is such a fantastic flower and so important to source locally if possible. If you have to order them through a wholesaler in the off-season, those round, ruffly beauties come in flat as can be, and that is not a winner in a bouquet or as a part of a stunning arch.

We carefully crafted full bouquets for the bride and all 11 of her bridesmaids, corsages for family members, boutonnières for 12 groomsmen, a ceremony arch, a multitude of table centerpieces, and even little bundles for her wedding cake. All in all, that is one full wedding that we couldn’t be happier with!

Maybe my favorite part of it all is how we repurposed everything from the ceremony to their sweetheart table at the reception! Our team moved all the florals from the ceremony space to inside the reception venue, and then all of her bridesmaids laid their bouquets on the table facing outward for a ‘garland’ effect in front of the couple.

The end result was amazing and I can’t recommend it enough! We were so thrilled to be a part of Ariel and Chris’s love story and can’t wait to visit the Aldie Mansion again!
