Philander Knox Chase Estate Spring Wedding

Aesthetic: Bursting, Lush, Spring- themed

Photography: Douglas James Photography

This happy spring wedding was full of the best themes of new beginnings especially since it was our first full-size wedding after the pandemic after doing a year of micro-weddings and elopements!

Alex and Pat wanted to go all in on Spring blooms with gorgeous colors like apricot, light greens, whites, muted yellows, blush for their big day. We ended up featuring spring beauties like Ranunculus, Anemone, Specialty Tulips, Butterfly Ranunculus, Narcissus, and dried hops for the boutonnieres!

The burst of blooms and bright colors looked SO good against the backdrop of the old greenhouse and old stone walls at the Estate. Everything seemed to just pop around them!

Alex fell in love with a “fern and house plant” style of arrangements and imagined many of her flowers looking like they had naturally fallen to the ground. We were aiming to give her as close to a natural feel as possible, which is so much easier using our foam-free, eco-friendly style.

I especially loved Alex’s bridesmaids’ arrangements. Instead of opting for the traditional smaller bouquets, she choose to use gold hoops for her party, and we wrapped bright and lush flowers on the base.

With perfect spring temperatures in our favor, Alex’s grandmother even sat on the porch of the historic estate and watched the setup of our entire arch. She was our honorary supervisor!

This was such a joyful and happy wedding, and we were privileged to be a part of it!
