Warm Fall Tones at Durham Hill Farms | Nicole + Anthony

If you're planning a Fall wedding, you mostly likely want your venue and wedding flowers to reflect the warm and inviting atmosphere that Autumn brings. Durham Hill Farm was the perfect charming rustic venue to accomplish this. The natural beauty of the surroundings coupled with the fiery hues of these Fall flowers made Nicole and Anthony’s wedding one of my favorites of the season!

Let me just say there is SO much charm on this farm. From the tranquil ponds to the rolling hills, every angle is picture-perfect. Now just add some seasonal wedding florals and you’re set!

The bride and groom both wanted the full Fall color spectrum for their ceremony, and we were so happy to get to create with that rich palette. There are many Autumn flowers that come in those warm tones, so we were excited to see was was available as we got closer to their wedding date. Pops of orange, red, and yellow, perfectly complement the autumnal landscape and we were excited to create some Fall warmth while still adding a touch of drama and elegance to the celebration.

Another element of the design we wanted to be considerate of was the setup of the venue itself. The outdoor ceremony space at Durham Hill Farms has a long arch and a wide processional aisle, so we wanted to make sure that the aisle arrangements were statements all their own. This helped us to balance out the corner-arch design the couple envisioned and allows for that perfect walking-out-of-the-aisle-as-a-married-couple shot that wedding photographers are so good at capturing.

When it came to the reception and table decor, Nicole and Anthony wanted an eclectic collection of bud vases and simple flowers that their guests could easily converse over and complemented the simplicity of their rustic reception space.

Nicole’s bouquet had a variety of Dahlias, along with Sea Oats, Talinum, Fern, Marigolds, Gomphrena, and Celosia, and we just adored the final product. It was a piece of Fall you could hold in your hands.

Another favorite from this wedding was the couple’s absolutely unique approach to boutonnières. The hand picked special enamel pins for all the groomsmen and had us create around them. Don’t miss the final product in the picture below.

The perfect golden hour lighting, the warm hues of the fall season, and the captivating scenery, it was all a magical day at Durham Hill Farm, and we were so honored to create these fiery arrangements for Nicole and Anthony.
